Death | June 21, 2009 (aged 61 years) Obituary of Walter Archie Fulford Monday, June 22, 2009 Walter Archie Fulford (1947-2009) Walter Archie Fulford, 61, of Ashland, (Kentucky), husband of Jennifer Hall Fulford, died Sunday morning, June 21, 2009, at Community Hospice Care Center following an extended illness. He was born Dec. 13, 1947, at West Swanzey, N.H., a son of the late Archibald Cleveland Fulford and Pauline Rixford Fulford Morrison of Ashland. He also was preceded in death by a son, James E. Kirk in 2002. Walter was a retired transport driver with JRB Trucking, and was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the North American Hunting and Fishing Club. He loved the outdoors and was a big NASCAR fan. Survivors, in addition to his wife and mother, include one son, Walter Archie Fulford Jr. (Penny) of Ashland; two daughters, Heather Jeane ll Kirk (Hank Newcomb) and Crystal Rene Hicks (David Clark), all of Ironton, Ohio; and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday at Preston Family Funeral Home by Bro. Jack Parsons. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park with military graveside rites by the Ironton VFW Post 8850.
